Municipal Prosecuting Attorney

The City of Riverside, MO is seeking to appoint a Municipal Prosecuting Attorney.  The position is part-time and involves representing the City of Riverside in handling every aspect of criminal prosecution for municipal offenses and ordinance violations. The position requires court appearances three times a month, the ability to work independently, and computer proficiency.   The City of Riverside has a population of 4,000 residents with a daily working population of 35,000 and is located in southern Platte County, just north of downtown Kansas City.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a law degree and be a member of the Missouri Bar Association in good standing.  Must have minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law with a minimum of 2 years of prosecution experience.

Pay: $19,886 per year.
