The City of Riverside is a Fourth-Class established under the authority of the State of Missouri.  The Mayor is elected at-large and the six (6) Aldermen are elected from the city's three (3) wards.   The governing board then appoints a City Administrator who is responsible for the enforcement of City codes and policies.
Board of Aldermen ResponsibilitiesEnacting ordinances for the proper governing of the City.  Approving changes in the Municipal Code, as required. Adopting the annual budget and related financial documents. Establishing other policies as necessary to promote and secure the City and its residents. Appointing the City Administrator. Representing the City to its public and other governmental bodies.
Board of Aldermen MeetingsThe Board of Aldermen meetings are held at the City Hall in the Board of Aldermen chambers on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. All meetings are open to the public and approved minutes and agendas can be viewed online.
