Board of Zoning Adjustment

The Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) consists of five (5) citizens appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen.
Duties:
  • Hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Director of Planning and Economic Development.
  • Hear and decide upon applications for use, area, and flood hazard variances.
  • Undertake such other responsibilities as the City Code or Board of Aldermen may require.

Meeting Schedule: As needed.

Term Length: Member serve five (5) year terms with no term limits.
