Human Resources

The City of Riverside Human Resources Department serves 9 city departments and more than 100 full-time and part-time city employees. We are responsible for employee recruitment and selection, job classification and compensation, employee benefits administration, employee policies, safety and workers’ compensation, talent management, employee relations, and employee engagement and wellness activities.  The Human Resources Department strives to support the City’s goals by partnering with departments to deliver superior customer service and to maximize the potential of our greatest asset - our employees.

The effectiveness of the City of Riverside depends on the capable and caring individuals who bring their skills and experience to our organization.  Our goal is to hire great people to do what they love; give them the tools to be successful; remove the barriers to that success; and watch them succeed.
