Lateral transfer pay is available for all of our positions based on your previous years of service in the role you are applying for.  The pay rate will be established based on a formula or the comparable wages of other Riverside employees in the same position.  Base pay for lateral transfers will be determined at the time of job offer in discussions with the department director.

  • Tuition Reimbursement - Tuition reimbursed based on grades A=90%, B=80%, C=70%
  • Paramedic School - 90% reimbursement
  • Police Academy - Fees covered & wages paid at 100% while attending
  • Police Officer Night Shift Pay Differential - $0.75 extra per hour for hours worked on night shift
  • GI Bill Qualified Training - Covers Police Academy & Field Training
  • Hiring Incentive - $3,000 incentive for newly hired Public Works Maintenance Workers
  • Referral Incentive - $1,000 incentive for employees who refer a new full-time hire who completes 1 year of service
  • Relocation Reimbursement - Up to $3,000 in moving expenses for full time hires if moving to the metro from 75 miles or more from Riverside
